FULLTIME BATTALION CHIEF POSITION OPEN
Battlefield Fire Protection District currently has a position of Battalion Chief open. The duties for this position include overseeing the day to day operations and training of all personnel under his or her command. Applicants must hold Certifications with the State of Missouri in the following fields, Fire Fighter I & II, EMT-B and level one instructor. Applicants must have no less than two years of leadership as an officer in the field of fire protection and experience in working Fire, Rescue and EMS calls. Applicants must have knowledge of the Fire-House reporting system and be able to keep personnel under their command up to speed on doing reports. Benefits include a full insurance package, vacation after one year, six paid holidays and a 457-B retirement plan all paid by the District. Salary for this position has been set at $29,750 per year. Firefighter Positions Openings
The Battlefield Fire Protection District has openings for two fulltime firefighters.
Firefighterʼs positions require the following State Certifications before employment.
1. Missouri Division of Fire Safety certification as Firefighter I & II
2. Missouri certification in good standing as an EMT-B
These positions work 24 hours on duty and 48 hours off duty with overtime after 40 hours per week. Employees receive a full benefit package including loss of work insurance while off duty, all paid for above the approximant earnings of $23,500.00 per year.
