Chaplain
The Battlefield Fire Protection District is currently seeking applications to fill the position of Fire Department Chaplain. This will be a volunteer position to meet the needs of the District and its citizens. Applicants should be an ordained minister with ecclesiastical endorsement. The Fire Department Chaplain will be expected to assist the employees of the Battlefield Fire Protection District and the citizens we serve with grief counseling, Critical Incident Stress Management, and religious support as needed. BFPD Receives AFG Grant
BFPD received a grant from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) for over $100,000 for hose, nozzles, and appliances. The grant will be used to replace supply hose with a larger size, aging fire attack hose, nozzles, firefighting appliances, and equipment. This grant will allow the services we provide to citizens and neighbors of the District to be enhanced and keep our firefighters safe! The District is required to match 10% of the funds during the performance of the grant.
